This scent could really be burned all year round. Advent is a soft foliage rich scent that gets me into the Christmas spirit! It has a soft woodsy scent, with the eucalyptus and moss notes softening the sharpness of fir and cypress. If you like our Missouri Woods scent, you may enjoy this one as well. It is not as sharp and has a softer throw. Im going to keep this one in our personal year round repertoire!
Note Profile- Top: Eucalyptus. Middle: Cypress, Moss, Bayberry. Bottom: Incense, Patchouli, Fir.
The word Advent is a rich and deep and full word. For us in the Western world it typically describes the period of 4 Sunday's leading up to Christmas. The word comes from the Latin word adventus, a form of the verb adventio defined as arrive, come to, but also develop, set in or arise. Merriam-Webster defines advent as appearance, arrival or coming. Today we use the word adventure to mean something notable, exciting or about to happen. I think all three definitions embody the meaning of why we celebrate Christmas. It reminds us of a world waiting, the promised Messiah who arrived, and the risen King who will come again.
8 oz candle burn time: 30-36 hours. (We clocked our 8 oz candle at 36 hours 29 minutes. But please realize every candle will vary based on fragrance load, amount of times lit & blown out & number of children digging in the wax. Just kidding, please don't let kids dig in the wax. Or touch the burning candle at all!!)
16 oz candle burn time: 55-60 hours. (We clocked our 16 oz candle burning for 60 hours and 24 minutes. But, please read the above...it varies!)
